Dr. Arpita Thakur is a pediatric dentist with an MDS in Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry. Across her training and practice — including a faculty role in a pediatric and preventive dentistry department — she has personally conducted school and specialty dental camps, alongside treating children in private practice and counselling their parents on preventive care.
Running those camps meant living with the same operational reality every clinic faces: consent forms that needed constant tracking, screening notes to keep organised across dozens of children in a single day, reports that needed to actually reach the right parent, and follow-ups that were easy to lose track of once the camp was over.
That firsthand experience is what shaped Peskare from the start. As co-founder and clinical advisor, Dr. Thakur worked closely on how the product should actually behave on camp day — what a dentist needs at the chair, what a parent needs to trust a report, and what a school needs to see without ever touching a child's private health data.
Peskare is built from that experience — and open to any independent dental practice that wants to run school camps, and the rest of their practice, properly.
